DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 3, you will be tasked with planning, organizing, and directing facility needs for the department. Work includes managing the department's leased portfolio, overseeing agency wide operational programs that include travel, corporate cards, parking, mail, safety, and records retention, as well as advising department leadership related to agency operations. You will have the opportunity to serve as secondary incident commander for the department's Continuity of Operations (COOP) Program. This includes responding to emergency facility and safety situations for all the department's various work locations during normal business hours and outside normal business hours. Effective communication is a key aspect of this position as you will be providing technical assistance to clients through formal training sessions, informal discussions, email, and meetings as well as maintaining ongoing communication with supervisors and subordinates on all work activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. The position includes responding to emergency facility and safety situations which may require work outside normal business hours. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days per week. Telework schedule may be adjusted based on operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Administrative Officer 2; or Four years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management of staff work in public or private organization, including experience in personnel management budgeting or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four-year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
