Position Overview:

The Buyer Reorder Assistant is responsible to review and analyze all reorder merchandise and deals. This position is required to determine order quantities by working directly with the Buyers on reorders and initiate purchase order.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and business growth.
  • Review and analyze selling performance on reorder merchandise and deals.
  • Review current inventory on order and receipt flow.
  • Initiate purchase orders for direct ship programs.
  • Meet regularly with Buyers to review programs and process orders.
  • Schedule and meet with vendors to review Buyers logistics and receipt flow.
  • Interact frequently with the Assistant Buyers and Buyers Assistants, and Planners.
  • Maintain Excel reorder spreadsheets, reorder calendar and program details.
  • Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 1+ years of retail experience in merchandising or distribution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and internet applications such as; JDA, IDEAS, and ARTHUR.
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong working relationships with others.
  • Ability to adapt well to change in direction in a fast paced work environment.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Ability to remain in a normal seated position regularly.
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
  • Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
  • Ability to bend and twist occasionally.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
