If so, the Bureau of Health Statistics and Registries - Director's Office Administrative Support Unit may have the perfect opportunity for you. We are searching for a dedicated Clerical Assistant 2 to serve as the bureau's receptionist. If you have exceptional communication skills, we want you on our team!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will handling all mail for the Forum Place office (6 different units), including opening, performing intake, and distributing all incoming mail. The intake process may involve analyzing applications, confirming they meet eligibility requirements, scanning, creating letters for expedited returns, and processing check payments. You will also be required to maintain accurate tracking of all mail received and returns sent out. Additional responsibilities include navigating registry systems, using Microsoft Office products throughout daily operations, assisting with applications for certificates, and completing data entry for reports of vital events as requested. You will have the opportunity to share front-line receptionists duties with the other administrative support staff. This includes responding to inquiries received online, via email and telephone by providing information orally and/or in writing and when applicable, directing calls, emails and visitors to the most appropriate bureau staff. You will be expected to maintain an extensive knowledge of the information available within the bureau and of the persons responsible for disseminating data.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
