DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As Director of Strategic and Administrative Services, you will function as the agency's primary consultant on workforce, information technology, business process, and administrative matters. You will be representing and making decisions on behalf of the agency to external partners such as the Office of Administration, Office of Human Resource Management, and Office of Information Technology. Work includes directing the administrative support programs for the agency including workforce strategy, information technology and business process strategy, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives, risk management, and continuity of operations planning. You will be responsible for identifying, examining, and providing solutions to address workforce skill and resource gaps, overseeing the development, maintenance, and enhancement of employee engagement initiatives, as well as designing and leading culture strategies that help the department achieve its core values. You will have the opportunity to ensure excellent and timely service is provided to both internal and external customers while meeting their needs and maintaining positive working relationships. Additional responsibilities may include: Leading the development of workforce analytics Overseeing orientation, mentoring, onboarding, and training programs Supervising the development of proposals for projects and business process reengineering initiatives Managing the prioritization of IT projects Overseeing facility management, mailroom, and automotive functions

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, flexible schedule. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. AWS (alternate work schedule) may be available. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Administrative Officer 4 (Commonwealth title); or Eight years of experience in progressively responsible and varied management or staff work, including personnel management, fiscal management, budgeting, or procurement; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
