We are looking for a motivated Fiscal Management Specialist 2 to perform analytical work in the preparation and review of fiscal information. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Fiscal Management Specialist 2, you will be focusing on preparing and coordinating the administrative budgets for the federal Perkins V grant and the federal Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA). Work includes monitoring and analyzing the Commonwealth SAP accounting system for fund balances allocation, appropriations commitments, and expenditures, providing recommendations on the use of federal allocations and state appropriations to the Bureau Director, maintaining budgetary control, as well as monitoring, correcting, and reconciling records of revenue, financial commitments, and expenditures for financial and budgetary account closing and lapsing processes. You will be responsible for assembling fiscal data for use in year-end financial documents, expenditure adjustments, cost analysis, year-end encumbrances, allotment adjustments, transfer of funds, payment requests, and memoranda to correct posting errors in reports generated through the Comptroller's Office. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Bureau Director and division manager to review spending plans, projections, and other fiscal information, as well as provide guidance and direction on the use and availability of funds.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 4 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 1; or One year of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
