The Bureau of Fee-for-Service Programs, Division of Provider Services is seeking a Human Services Program Specialist in the Enrollment Section. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for approving or certifying providers for enrollment in the Medical Assistance (MA) Program. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Human Services Program Specialist, you will review and analyze medical assistance objectives, regulations, and policies as it relates to enrollment. You will have an opportunity to work on special projects assigned to the bureau to include implementation of new federal and state policies affecting the enrollment process. You will conduct research to gain in-depth understanding of medical assistance programs, policies, and procedures to respond to inquiries received from all parties involved, including legislators. In this role, you will collaborate in workgroups and meetings with high-level personnel. You will also provide technical assistance and training as it relates to policies and procedures of enrollment.

In this position, you will engage in general decision making regarding the return of applications to providers for additional verifications and documentation required to meet enrollment requirements. In addition, you will answer incoming provider enrollment calls and provide excellent verbal clarification to providers regarding the completion of provider enrollment applications and forms.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time with a minimum of one day per month in the office. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs.
