DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Insurance Company Financial Analyst 1, you will be responsible for a variety of duties involving CCRC analysis, examination, and licensing.  Specific tasks include conducting financial reviews of annual disclosure statement filings, and obtaining, reviewing, and analyzing annual audited financial statements and the most recent financial examination report of CCRCs to ensure compliance with statutes and regulations.  Excellent interpersonal skills are exercised to collaborate with examiners on the financial portions of examinations of CCRCs within the Commonwealth to ensure compliance with Pennsylvania's laws and regulations.  This professional also reviews, analyzes, and recommends approval or disapproval of initial and renewed licensures and merger and acquisitions for CCRCs within the Commonwealth.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are either 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM OR 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of reporting to the office one day per month.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Insurance Company Financial Analyst Trainee program (commonwealth title); or One year of professional experience in insurance, accounting, finance, economics, business administration, risk-management, or a closely related field; and a bachelor's degree which includes 15 college credits in accounting, finance, or auditing; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 15 college credits in accounting, finance, or auditing.
