Industrial Refrigeration Superintendent Harrisonburg, VA 22801
We are hiring an experienced Construction Superintendent to support our Industrial Refrigeration team. Superintendents are responsible for maintaining all field operations at the site level. Typical projects for our Industrial Refrigeration business include food distribution centers, cold storage, and food processing facilities.
Travel is required, our projects are generally in the Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia!

What you will do:
Inspect work in process and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications
Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned trade/craft workers; teach, coach and guide teammates
Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules
Study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for successful project completion
Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of installation
Perform trade-specific duties as needed with the ability to direct work of all other trades
Monitor and control manpower and tools to ensure efficient and effective use of resources and provide oversight of inventory activities
Schedule material and equipment deliveries to maintain project schedule
Review weekly report of costs incurred; identify possible cost-saving opportunities
Monitor and control the implementation of safety policies; attend safety and accident review meetings; perform safety assessment
What we are looking for:
Minimum of 5 years of ammonia/industrial construction superintendent experience in the refrigeration, pipefitting or welding fields
Extensive knowledge of industrial refrigeration piping applications.
Safety-minded and a thorough knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
Willing to travel to projects within our region; clean driving record
Able to efficiently motivate and lead crews
Extensive knowledge of International Codes and general HVAC and plumbing systems
