Job Title: Peer Recovery Specialist Mental Health
Job Description
Your main responsibilities will include responding to community response calls, maintaining project logs and reports, assisting in problem-solving and de-escalation, providing immediate interventions, educating service recipients on recovery, and promoting self-advocacy. You will also be tasked with developing relationships with community groups and agencies, identifying and overcoming barriers to participation in community resources, and maintaining contact with individuals after they leave the program to ensure their ongoing success.
Hard Skills
Education: High school diploma is required
Minimum Years of Experience: Must have worked within the last three years with at least 12 months total of successful or part or full-time paid or voluntary work experience
Active Certification: Must have and/or acquire a certification as a Certified Recovery Specialist within 6 months of employment

Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Hartford, Connecticut.
Work Environment
This role is part of the community emergency response-HEARTeam (Hartford Emergency Action Response Team). You will be expected to respond to community response calls as directed by a dispatcher or director/supervisor, often under emergency circumstances.
