Summary of the Maintenance Mechanic position:
- Location: Hastings, Nebraska
- Schedule: C shift, rotating schedule, 7 PM - 7 AM
- Compensation: $21-35/hour depending on experience
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment by repairing and maintaining them.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic:
- Performing preventive maintenance as scheduled.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date records of all work done.
- Ensuring all equipment is ready for operation at all times even in the event of a breakdown.
- Maintaining the physical structure of the establishment including cleanliness and safety.
- Providing training to department personnel on equipment usage and maintenance procedures.
- Managing inventory and requisitioning supplies and materials as needed.
- Using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and other technical plans effectively.
- Operating maintenance equipment and performing welding tasks.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Mechanic position:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years of related experience and/or training.
- Proficiency in reading, writing and understanding English documents and instructions.
- Strong communication skills for effectively presenting information to groups and individuals.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and solve practical problems.
- Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
