Robert Half Assistant Financial Controller in Hayward, California
Description Are you looking for growth and stability in the East Bay? Our dynamic and growing hospitality distribution client is seeking a experienced and results-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join their team and lead the financial operations in Hayward, CA. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, providing insightful financial analysis, and partnering with leadership to drive strategic decision-making.
About the Role: Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and tax compliance. Manage complex debit and credit transactions, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. Budgeting and forecasting for $50m+ budget. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations. Prepare and present financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to management and stakeholders. Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making. Manage a team of managers and indirect reports of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. 5+ years of accounting experience. Experience with SAP or NetSuite is a plus. Must have P& L oversight, budgeting and forecasting experience. Must have expertise with managing large datasets in Excel. Proven track record of success in leading and motivating teams. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
