The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Environmental Engineer to come be a part of the world class Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team in Hazelwood , MO .

We are seeking a highly skilled and Experienced Environmental Engineer to join the St. Louis Region Environmental Management team. The ideal candidate will lead our industrial wastewater program and have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience in environmental engineering, with substantial work supporting working with large-scale wastewater and stormwater systems.

This position will involve some local travel as the Environmental Management team supports several Boeing sites in the St. Louis Region.

Position Responsibilities:

• Provides knowledge and expertise in areas of industrial wastewater, stormwater, spill prevention, environmental sampling, data analysis, and environmental reporting

• Leads and manages environmental projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations/standards

• Assesses the impact of emerging environmental issues

• Leads interface with relevant regulatory agencies

• Provides technical expertise and guidance to project teams and stakeholders

• Remains current with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements to recommend innovative approaches

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, environmental science, chemistry, geology, physics, computer science or mathematics

• 3+ years of experience in areas of air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, storage tanks, environmental sampling, data analysis, and environmental reporting

• 3+ years of experience dealing with regulatory agencies or federal regulations

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $90,100 – $121,900
