Boeing is seeking a Mid-Level Quality Engineer to work in Boeing Global Services (BGS). This Mid-level Quality Engineer will be part of a hardware quality team that supports defense platform training systems in a manufacturing environment located in Hazelwood, Missouri .

Quality engineers support all phases of the development life cycle for hardware from inception to post-delivery on a variety of defense aircraft training devices and labs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.

  • Integrate contractual and Boeing QMS requirements into all aspects of proposals, program processes and documentation.

  • Participate in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs (PCA, FCA, ATP, etc.).

  • Review, reconcile and report nonconformance performance and issues.

  • Perform analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.

  • Perform benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.

  • Perform detailed Quality Engineering investigations, implement effective Root Cause Corrective Action, and provide objective evidence of results.

  • Identify repetitive or significant non-conformances for corrective action.

  • Perform internal auditing, surveillance, and monitoring.

  • Work under general direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Hazelwood, MO.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • 3+ years of experience of reading blueprints and working with requirements.

  • 3+ years of experience in Quality / AS9100 / Quality Processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Previous work in aerospace, manufacturing, quality, or another highly regulated industry

  • Experience working nonconformance reporting.

  • Experience working multiple projects.

Typical Education/ Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years of related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $88,400 - $119,600.
