Job Description Summary

The Digital Technology Configuration Specialist is responsible for creation and maintenance of eDHR (electronic device history record) workflows and the associated master data for products and manufacturing processes of a plant (site).

This role configures the eDHR system to digitalize paper batch records; enables efficient and effective digital conversion by systematically simplifying manufacturing processes and improving batch record data / record management. The Configuration Specialist manages, organizes and controls changes throughout software implementation and sustaining of normal operations. They are a subject matter expert in this area.

The Configuration Specialist is a critical member of the Site eDHR Project team. They lead configuration during initial eDHR system deployment and will continue to drive completion of configuration activities in replication across additional manufacturing lines/areas of the plant.

They work closely with the Site project team, Application Development Owner (central Quality eDHR), and Digital Technology Business Partner (TGS – Technology Global Services). In doing so they interface with various levels of associates in the Quality, Manufacturing, and Technology functions.

All activities align with global strategies, guidance, and deployment roadmaps for MES / eDHR initiatives, including site level project and replication plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with implementation teams (e.g., Quality and OT Engineers, eDHR Project Leader, Ops teams) to ensure digital conversion of paper batch records are accurate and complete; support achievement of Technical + Business Go-live milestones on time, as planned.

  • Create and maintain eDHR workflows and associated master data in eDHR system. Align plant level configurations with Global recommendations.

  • Define and implement an optimized master data architecture (as it relates to number + content of forms, control plans, master data sets).

  • Test new configuration / master data setup in QA environment before moved to production environment.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and direct support to Quality functions during digital transformation (MES – eDHR). Guide and shape how eDHR technology can transform Quality & manufacturing processes.

  • Partner with implementation teams to define and refine request of digitalizing manufacturing processes; provide guidance on eDHR capabilities.

  • Monitor and evaluate eDHR system data to identify configuration / master data anomalies.

  • Adapt, improve, and modify working methods to optimize day-to-day processes and system configurations.

  • Actively track progress on tasks and communicate updates to functional or project manager and other key stakeholders as designated

  • Attend, actively participate in, and successfully complete training sessions as needed + specified.

Additionally:

  • Lead activities involving master data or configuration change and related to enhancements / upgrades for global eDHR system (i.e., new Service Pack releases).

  • Establish documented framework and process to efficiently and effectively secure approval for eDHR workflow and Master data changes.

  • Support and act as Lead point person for audit and/or change control on eDHR system. Provide information in a timely manner, with relevant system evidence (e.g., Master data export, direct screen sharing with auditors, etc.).

  • Achieve quality & manufacturing shared goals through successful delivery of key business objectives and metrics related to digital transformation.

About you:

  • Minimum, 2 – year Associate Degree or Technical Diploma.

  • May have additional certificates and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Engineering, Business, or a closely related field.

  • Proven analytical thinking and deductive skills to understand processes, new concepts quickly and propose improvements with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Proven organizational skills and ability to plan + organize work efficiently.

  • High degree of discipline and demonstrates attention to detail.

  • Demonstrates personal drive and accountability to meet deadlines per project plan.

  • Demonstrates ability to solve problems, effectively manages risks and/or escalates as needed within established governance framework.

  • Ability to develop Master data Architecture that map business requirements to eDHR technologies.

  • Ability to utilize complex IT applications or software systems; and/or

  • Ability to translate complex business requests into actionable tasks within available IT systems or programs.

  • Ability to provide operational support and autonomously address questions / inquiries from various plant (site) associates.

  • Strong communication skills: capacity to listen and understand users and stakeholder’s expectations.

  • Maintains professional working knowledge and key skills expertise current (up-to-date).
