Oracle Data Science Specialist in HELLERUP, Denmark

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to work with customer data science teams, address end to end data science lifecycle and help them to see business value with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. As a data science specialist, you will focus on industry specific use cases, explain how to address business problems with cutting edge data science techniques, provide subject matter expertise and support while demonstrating the art of possible with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure using data science and machine learning techniques.

This role requires a strong ability to work with customer data science teams to solve complex problems and a collaborative mindset to drive success in a team-oriented environment. Deep technical expertise in advanced machine learning algorithms, a solid understanding of the data science lifecycle, and a proven track record of working on real data science problems are a must. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and possess a Master’s degree or higher. Collaboration will be a key characteristic of your work, both with customers and within Oracle, including with other Specialist teams and Product Management.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with customer data science teams to understand their needs, provide insights, and help them solve specific business challenges.

  • Help customers design, develop, and implement advanced data science algorithms to solve complex data science and machine learning problems.

  • Analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders across the organization.

  • Work closely with customers' cross-functional teams, including business users, data engineers, and data scientists, and address their requirements to deliver data-driven solutions.

  • Manage the entire data science lifecycle, from data collection and cleaning to model deployment and monitoring while working on customer problems or art-of-the-possible demo assets.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data science, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members.

  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the data science world.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Bring:

  • Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in data science with a proven track record of leading successful data-driven projects.

  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and data analysis techniques.

  • Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.

  • Proven experience working with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively

  • Experience working with customer data science teams to address and solve business problems.

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, as well as experience with open-source tools and libraries like scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
