The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) is searching for a Maintenance Repairman 2 to perform maintenance and repair duties in the building, mechanical, and electrical trades at the State Police Academy Complex in Hershey, as well as the Driver Training Center at Fort Indiantown Gap.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of our buildings and structures by performing tasks in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, plaster, painting, air conditioning, and refrigeration work. You will perform this skilled work at the journeyman level exercising technical independence in determining work methods and procedures. Additionally, you will ensure the safety of the outdoor grounds by clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, as well as maintaining the grass by utilizing lawn care equipment.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Please note, selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,003.00 (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
