SNC is seeking candidates for positions at Hill AFB, Utah supporting effective and responsive integration throughout the lifecycles of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM) Weapon Systems. Expected work duration is eighteen years!

You'll conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems and your technical duties include the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.

Must-haves:
Bachelors of Science degree in Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
Or MS Degree in Materials, Mechanical or Civil Engineering + 4 years of related engineering experience
Or PhD Degree in Materials, Mechanical or Civil Engineering + 2 years of related engineering experience
Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Systems Engineering Experience and/or Certification
Journeyman skill set includes ability to perform all stated/implied duties within this tier and those reasonably derived from preceding tier
Professional Engineering License desired
Working level mechanical-engineering services
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred:
Understanding of applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
Experience in Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes
