Air Force Materiel Command SUPPLY & MATERIAL SUPPORT PROGRAM MANAGER in Hill AFB, Utah

The primary purpose of this position is planning and execution of supply plans necessary to support all aircraft platforms, systems, and maintenance. Create a culture that is focused on identifying and eliminating constraints affecting the process critical path during execution. Facilitate strategic oversight and integrate supportability process to sustain aircraft. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the organization, ensuring that management operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Participates in special management operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Represents the organization in supply plannings and execution functional areas. Responsible for influencing planning and execution of supply plans necessary to support all aircraft platforms, systems, and programmed depot maintenance (PDM) at the designated Air Logistics Complex (ALC). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standards Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in knowledge with enterprise demand/supply plans, executing the supply chain, sustainment transformation initiatives performance indicators, continuous process improvement, internal quality assurance and implementation or execution of new or existing policy or business processes.. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Mastery knowledge of advanced logistics management principles, concepts/theories, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of integrated support to prepare long-range (5 year) and short- range planning guidance in accordance with broad agency program policies and objectives. Expert knowledge of wide range of principles, practices, and quantitative and qualitative evaluative methods plus a thorough understanding of how regulatory or enforcement programs are administered to select and apply appropriate program evaluation and measurement techniques in determining the extent of compliance with rules and regulations issued by the AF, or in measuring and evaluating organizational accomplishments to include used in project analysis to identify, evaluates, resolve, and present issues or problems to isolate discrepancies or identify trends that impact organizational mission objectives both operationally and strategically. Skill to use, manipulate, and or synthesize various data systems and sources of information to cross-correlate data and metrics to evaluate data within the context of operational environment, develop course of action to better support mission objectives, select and coordinate with appropriate parties of interest, and champion organizational opportunities in the corporate process. Ability to recognize and analyze complex analytical problems, conducts research, gather, assemble, and analyze facts; draw conclusions; conduct analysis Extensive ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make approprate judgements, and evaluate options. Ability to analyze, plan and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within avaliable resources. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
