What a typical day as a Electro-Mechanical Assembler might look like:
Responsibilities:
l Conduct assembly, wiring, alignments, and final configurations of components.
l Conduct Assembly work applying prescribed methods using a variety of hand tools, fixtures, and test equipment.
l Collect test data, use databases and other office programs to document the manufacturing process
l Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions
l Assist in the selection and/or set-up of specialized equipment
l Perform a wide variety of troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues
l Perform equipment set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance
l Follow audit and safety guidelines
l Participate in continuous process improvement.
l A day in the life: Hillsboro campus is on the cutting of global technology in pursuit of enabling our Customers to make the world a Healthier, Cleaner and Safer place:
l Daily Team Meetings held to address barriers to production and to highlight employee wins
l Employees are actively involved with exciting new and emerging product
l All feedback is considered valuable and is captured via our Just Do It task program
l Training is routinely provided either as On the Job or via our online portal
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Qualifications:
l High School Diploma or equivalent required
l years production experience (preferred)
l 1 year experience leading a team in a professional work environment
l Background in precision mechanical assembly and low-volume, sophisticated manufacturing processes preferred
l Experience in lean manufacturing, 6S and continuous improvement a plus
l Previous assembly experience in a Clean Room environment is a plus
l Experience with Windows-based and MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Division-Specific Outlook and Access)
l Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
l Demonstrated ability in Efficiently working in a Team of 8-10 colleagues
l Ability to use appropriate PPE
l Ability to analyze and address problems independently as well as collaboratively
l Ability to support projects, perform training and work efficiently low volume as part of cohesive teams
l Self-motivated, self-starter with strong organizational skills
l Ability to lift-up to 35lbs
l Strong verbal and written communication skills, successful in partnering with colleagues of differing cultural, language, and educational backgrounds
