The Executive Site Leader is responsible for developing a vision and leading site-wide operations at GE Healthcare’s site around GE Healthcare imperatives, and meeting all operational defined targets such as safety, quality, cost, delivery, and people. The site-wide scope includes a large multi-modality and multi-high tech products plant-manufacturing operations and broader site management responsibilities. To run the overall site however, the site leader will collaborate with a broader set of teams (e.g. Facilities, Engineering, Office Operations, Service, etc.) who will report into their specific function, but who play a vital role in driving various site-wide initiatives (incl. Safety, COVID response, Work Reimagined, Employee Engagement, Community Service, etc). The incumbent should be able to influence and communicate well with all levels of the organization, including local and global senior leadership, and be able to develop and implement strategic plans for the site that align with the broader business strategy.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Role will be responsible for setting the strategy, aligning the organization to the strategy while driving operational excellence and accountability around safety, quality, delivery and cost, leading through people by leveraging Lean and 6 sigma methodologies.

  • Role will further include strong collaboration with regional functions as well as other manufacturing operations all around the world and other functions of the Strategic Business Units present in the plant

  • Must be able to leverage strong people leadership, be a proven attractor and developer of talent, fostering an engaged and inclusive environment to build trust and create a winning team.

  • Influence and communicate well with all levels of the organization including senior leadership, acting as primary operations owner (direct and indirect functions) for the product portfolio.

  • Drive a culture that ensures outstanding compliance and adherence to product quality in all areas for the Quality Management System in GEHC. Ensure that the organizational design, functional expertise, and manufacturing process experience of the team is positioned for excellence.

  • Ensuring sufficient short and long capacity exists to achieve all customer commitments.

  • Driving Product Quality, Lean, Six Sigma, e-Manufacturing to ensure customer delivery and satisfaction, and ensure internal business metrics are met.

  • Improving On-time Delivery for customers.

Quality Specific Goals:

  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position

  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines

  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required

  • Knowledge and understanding of production process Work Instructions and operates within them to ensure that a device conforms to its specifications

  • Ensures the creation of accurate, complete, and timely records and DHRs

Qualifications/Requirements

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or relevant discipline

  • 10 years’ experience with proven leadership in industrial / chemical operations or supply chain, engineering, logistics/distribution

  • Ability to successfully motivate, and maintain high moral, employee involvement, safety, and teamwork while driving strategic changes

  • Lean and Six Sigma proficient with demonstrated ability to apply tools and process rigor

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in an ambiguous environment

  • Proven business/financial acumen, including demonstrated ability to motivate, influence, solve complex problems, and drive change at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership, energizing global teams, and global project management

  • Proven ability to drive and manage change initiatives in a matrix environment

Desired Characteristics

  • MBA or master’s degree

  • Prior experience in operating at an Executive Level in a global organization

  • Proven mentoring and coaching abilities, demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others

  • Ability to successfully motivate and maintain high moral, employee involvement, safety, and teamwork in manufacturing environment

  • Change agent with energy, passion & enthusiasm to drive change

  • External Focus: Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, & the competitive landscape in the industry/function & considering the external impact of business activities & decisions on the external environment
