Robert Half Accounting Operations Manager in Hoboken, New Jersey

Description

Our client, a leader in their industry where innovation meets excellence, is seeking an accomplished and dynamic Accounting Manager to lead their finance team and drive financial success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Oversee and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports, delivering comprehensive insights to senior management.

  • General Ledger Management: Lead the maintenance and integrity of the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and compliant with accounting standards.

  • Month-End Closing: Orchestrate the month-end close process, ensuring all financial activities are completed on time and accurately reflected in financial records.

  • Consolidations: Manage the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Treasury Management: Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow management, banking relationships, and investment strategies to optimize financial resources.

  • Multi-Entity Operations: Handle the complexities of accounting for multiple entities, ensuring seamless integration and reporting.

  • Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 5 years in an Accounting Manager role.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.

Skills:

  • Proven supervisory and team leadership capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end closing processes.

  • Expertise in financial consolidations and treasury management.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple entities and complex financial structures.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher, CPA or MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of ten years of experience, including five years in a supervisory role.

  • Experience in multi-entity consolidation and system implementation preferred.

  • Background in managing external audits desirable.
