Duties: Work on the Media Insights Team. Collaborate with sales and campaign teams to consult on campaign performance and shopper behavior for Walmart’s advertisers. Give targeted suggestions on possible customer insights analytical support and design ad-hoc data solutions. Work on data analysis projects using SQL and Python to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities. Review customer insights analytical deliverables with advertisers and provide impartial recommendations on how to navigate forward and better design marketing strategies. Explore Walmart’s databases to find new analysis topics and help enhance existing models to achieve higher accuracy levels. Collaborate with the accounts team to understand the business objectives of advertisers and give recommendations on the data support and analysis they need. Deliver customized analyses using SQL, Tableau, and Python that diagnose a brand's overall health condition by leveraging sales and customer performance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Give advertisers suggestions on media strategies with prioritized opportunities. Create media audience insights reports using SQL and Python to help advertisers segment their most valuable customers and provide optimize media planning strategies on how Walmart could influence these customers at the best time with the most effective messaging. Conduct predictive modelling using SQL and Python to identify the customer groups that advertisers should target for the most impact given certain advertising objectives, such as the customer groups that are likely to churn or potential cross-brand shoppers. Apply predictive models on audiences to provide detailed marketing campaign target lists. Explore clickstream and transactional data using SQL and Python to identify the optimal paths to conversions and to identify the best ways to engage with audiences across Walmart’s properties to help advertisers achieve higher brand awareness, sales, and Return On Advertising Spend (ROAS) goals. Use Tableau dashboards to present data and provide insights on traffic, search, and sales data to help teams understand and monitor the health and performance of marketing campaigns. Engage in model enhancement projects that aim to increase the accuracy and decrease the limitations of existing analysis models. Help constantly evolve and improve how Walmart analyzes and communicates data driven insights to advertisers. Understand and analyze all touchpoints that impact sales online as well as influence offline sales. Present analysis insights and media recommendations to the sales team and advertisers. This position does not supervise employees.Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field; OR Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in Business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or related field and 1 year of experience in data analytics or related field.Skills required: Experience analyzing data and building predictive model by coding in Python. Experience extracting data from databases by coding in SQL. Experience creating marketing campaign dashboards using Tableau. Experience analyzing customer behavior data using Microsoft (MS) Excel. Experience creating visualizations and presentations in Microsoft (MS) PowerPoint. Experience exploring databases. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.
