Robert Half Divisional/Plant Controller in Homewood, Alabama
Description
We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity in the Manufacturing industry based in HOMEWOOD, Alabama, United States. This role is for a Divisional/Plant Controller who will be responsible for supporting the closing of monthly books for a manufacturing plant.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the monthly closing of books for the plant
• Conduct Costing activities to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Utilize Syteline ERP system for various accounting operations
• Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation to verify accuracy of data
• Implement Month End Close procedures to finalize the financial period
• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Develop and implement improvements to accounting systems and procedures
• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in financial reports.
Requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency in Month End Close processes
• Solid understanding and experience in Costing practices
• Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Strong leadership skills for managing the division or plant
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field. Advanced degree or certification (such as CPA, CMA, or MBA) is preferred
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
