Aston Carter Accounting Manager in Honolulu, Hawaii

Job Title: Accounting ManagerJob Description

As our Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing all facets of our accounting department, ensuring precision, efficiency, and compliance with pertinent regulations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely AP and AR application, posting of financial data to the General Ledger, and monitoring for any unusual events and/or opportunities for increased efficiency. You will supervise a team of accounting professionals, provide guidance, support, and training, and develop, enhance, and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. You will also be in charge of preparing and analyzing financial reports, managing cash flow and treasury functions, evaluating and improving accounting systems and processes, coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors, and providing financial analysis and insights.

Hard Skills

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

  • Deep understanding of general ledger principals, practices, and procedures

  • Ability to develop a comprehensive plan, set clear objectives, and effectively execute initiatives

Soft Skills

  • Excellent supervisory skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Effective communication skills

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Work Environment

Our work environment is onsite 5 days per week, generally from 8am - 5pm. However, we do offer flexibility to adapt with employee schedules.
