Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking a Technology Consultant with strategic and influencing experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Consults on a wide spectrum of existing and emerging technologies and associated services and processes. Participates on special technical projects. Consults with IT management and technical staff regarding use of emerging technologies and associated services. Recommends technology alternatives, providing clear alignment of the technology's strengths and weaknesses against the business objectives. Participates in evaluation, selection, and application of new and emerging tools and techniques. Evaluates compliance with current and future technology standards and portfolios. Analyzes market trends and experiences with new and emerging technologies. Drives the review of existing standards with the standard's owner. Provides input and suggestions to improve the usability of the standard and to drive it forward. Maintains relationships with key vendors. Monitors the architecture of the vendor's offering to ensure continued compatibility of the U.S. Bank technology portfolio.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience

  • At least 7 years of experience with concepts, philosophies and tools behind the design of applications, information and underlying information technologies

  • At least 10 years of experience with developing and implementing facilities

Required Skills/Experience

  • Deep Packet & T CP/IP Analysis experience

  • Experience with Packets decryption methodology, Data, Voice networks

  • Advanced problem solving and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with On-premise & Cloud Network

  • Strong facilitation skills working with both internal and external parties

  • Available to perform on call duties

  • Extensive experience in: TAPs, Sniffers, Decryption methodology, packet broker technology, Wireline Analytics

  • Very Knowledgeable in Software Defined Network/SDN Data Center Infrastructure, SDWAN Infrastructure, System software infrastructure and Application Infrastructure

  • Strong understanding of Network Security Devices ( Firewalls, Load Balancers, Proxy )

  • Cisco Routing/Switching Certification, preferred

  • Contingency and disaster recovery

  • Experience with Tools/Applications like - Wireshark, ExtraHop, Netscout nGeniusOne, NetBrain, Observer, SteelCentral Packet Trace Warehouse, Infoblox/Bluecat, Cisco ACI/APIC

  • Subject matter expert in: Network operations, Network architecture, Wide area networks, Network and internet security

The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00
