Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Houston, Texas

Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our healthcare team based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of accounts payable and managing vendor relationships. This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple tasks concurrently.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily activities and operations of the Accounts Payable department.

• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, from processing invoices to making payments.

• Handle high-volume invoices effectively and efficiently.

• Resolve vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships.

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Oversee credit card expense reporting, ensuring compliance with company policies.

• Train, supervise, and manage Accounts Payable clerks.

• Undertake manual processing areas of the Accounts Payable department.

• Reconcile sub ledgers to the general ledger and make necessary adjustments.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to track data, create reports, and carry out financial analysis, including VLOOKUP’s and Pivot Table.

Skills:

• Proficient in Concur, Accounts Payable (AP), Expense Reporting, Shared Services, Month End Close, and Account Reconciliation.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, VLOOKUP, and Pivot Table.

• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

• Ability to foster a productive and cooperative working environment. Requirements • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as an Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager within the Healthcare/NHS industry

• Proficiency in using Concur for expense management and reporting

• Extensive knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and systems

• Experience in managing Shared Services for multiple departments or units

• Ability to perform Month End Close procedures promptly and accurately

• Skills in reconciling accounts and identifying discrepancies

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables for data analysis and reporting

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team management and collaboration
