Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Houston, Texas
Description
We are in the process of recruiting an Accounts Payable Clerk for our client in Houston, Texas. This role is central to their finance department where you'll play a critical part in managing the company's expenditures. You'll be immersed in a fast-paced environment, handling high-volume accounts payable and using advanced Excel functions.
Responsibilities:
• Process high-volume accounts payable and ensure all financial transactions are accurate and timely.
• Perform 3-way match to verify invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports.
• Conduct account reconciliation to keep financial records organized and accurate.
• Manage the processing of W-9 forms, expense reports, and 1099 forms.
• Utilize Excel functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs to analyze financial data.
• Work in a shared services environment, collaborating with various departments.
• Utilize Oracle and SAP for data entry and invoice processing.
• Manage check runs and coding invoices effectively.
• Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial records.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including knowledge of Pivot Table and VLOOKUP functions.
• Experience with account reconciliation and invoice processing.
• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
• Prior experience with check runs and coding invoices.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle and SAP software.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• High degree of professionalism and ethical standards in handling confidential information.
