MD Anderson Cancer Center Facilities Projects Coordinator in Houston, Texas

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm

Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, teamwork, detail oriented , project coordination, MS Project, MS Suite, and strong excel experience.

This position will have the ability to work one day a week from home after the initial six month training is completed.

Coordinate construction and moving activities for the PCPF Property Management Team, and customers. Projects include construction, renovation, office configurations, departmental and administrative moves. Duties will also include coordination of final punch list items with construction contractor. JC support and contractor management. Coordinating special projects with the O&M team as needed.

JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Oversees and coordinates all activities related to project management along with assets, Preventive Maintenance (PM), Contractor work. Working with the appropriate departments.

Works with the project managers to review/confirm any New assets or deleted assets from projects.

Ensure all drawing submittals are reviewed for each craft lead.

Properly fill out and review the MRJO form as needed for projects/work orders.

Properly review project drawings in a timely manner. Provides updates in scheduling meeting to all supervisors on different projects.

Support contractor check-in process.

Monitor budget and expense support, Joint Commission support.

Good written and verbal communication to ensure a successful project completion.

Assures accurate information is posted on Labor & Materials used on work completed on all A and PM work orders related to projects/contractor work scheduled and completed.

Review all information for Asset Record/Asset Spreadsheet is filled out appropriately from Facilities Planning, Design, Capital (FPDC) Contractors.

Review all PM information, Task sheets, manuals for equipment, materials, or contractor.

Reviews project site for accuracy of equipment and all necessary documents with supervisors on updates for Projects.

Coordinates and schedules meeting as needed.

Ensures that effective project processes are in place; coordinates, monitors, scheduling requirements, operation impacts, utility outages, and another formatted contract correspondence.

Prepares and submits for any utility outages.

Monitor the project progress, through construction site visits, contractor meetings, virtual, and work order updates.

Adds corrective action updates to work orders in the CMMS.

Schedules/coordinates with staff accordingly to complete outages.

Close Outages in CMMS and meets outage deadlines on all outages.

Coordinate meetings with vendors, contractors and clients for project discussion and resolution.

Follows up on all IWO work orders for updates, contractor updates, invoice updates, and work order updates.

Works with departments/customers on getting the work scheduled and completed.

Works on monitoring work orders in IWO and develops plans on completing work.

Inventory Management

Reviews all Preventive Maintenance inventory materials are available for the work orders.

Reviews monthly forecast for materials and provide feedback on inventory management as needed.

Checks and organizes inventory levels of existing materials in ACB3 and CPB 3 and documents availability for filters, belts, and contractor related PMs.

Review inventory levels from our ACB warehouse and notifies the warehouse of supplies increase, decrease, stock outs, or new warehouse items.

Places orders on materials for Work orders, Inventory, as needed or contractor related items.

Works with vendors on returns, with procurement coordinator.

Meets with customers/suppliers on product updates on supplies currently inventory. Also looking to expand and provide cost savings.

Develops, communicates, and train staff on proper issuance of items.

Plans and coordinates meetings as needed

Other duties as assigned Employee is considered ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL for all emergency related events and agrees to fulfill the responsibilities associated with signing the agreement.

High school diploma or equivalent. Five years experience in project related activities, including project management, budgeting and documentation. Bachelor's degree can substitute for four years of required experience on a one to one basis.
