Volt Management Corp. Honeywell DCS Control Systems Engineer / Houston in Houston, Texas

This Position is for a Honeywell DCS Control Systems Engineer with a work location in Houston, TX.

Immediately hiring for a mid to senior level Control Systems Engineer in the Houston, TX area to support the design, development, programming, and testing of Honeywell DCS-based control systems in the industrial petrochemical sector.

Within this role, you will:

Develop control system functional specifications

Support control system design and capacity analysis

Develop DCS logic and interface software applications compliant with customer/company specifications and/or applicable industry standards

Develop/Execute test procedures

Develop operations manuals

Remotely support/troubleshoot system after installation

Coordinate with project team for scheduling/scope management and execution

This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree in engineering

4 or more years of programming and support experience of Honeywell DCS and related control systems

Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system(s) and MS Office applications

Ability to read and understand P&IDs and general process specifications

Strong/clear written and verbal communication skills with internal team members and external clients

Self-motivated with desire to work autonomously

Strong problem-solving skills

Experience with technical writing

Knowledge of general terminology within the Oil and Gas industrial sector, other sectors are a plus

Knowledge of network architecture

Knowledge of multiple control communication protocols -- EthenetIP, Modbus, OPC/DA, OPC/UA, Profibus/net, CIP, DLR
