The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair activities across all Pathfinder buildings and homes. This position manages a team of Property Maintenance Technicians, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. The Supervisor will regularly inspect sites, manage maintenance schedules, and assign tasks to the team, while also performing hands-on maintenance work as needed.

As the leader of the maintenance team, the Maintenance Supervisor is directly responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating staff within the department, ensuring that all training is completed on time and that the team remains compliant with company policies and industry regulations. This role involves organizing and overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, conducting timely performance evaluations, and handling employee discipline and termination in accordance with company policy.

Key responsibilities include evaluating building systems to determine necessary maintenance or repairs, developing maintenance procedures and schedules, and facilitating vehicle maintenance as needed. The Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance and repair work is executed correctly and in a timely manner, assists with budget estimates and project costs, and monitors inventory of materials and equipment.

This position also involves working closely with vendors to maintain strong relationships, collaborating with the Director of Facilities and Property Management to review and update the organizations facilities plan, and assisting with the preparation of the yearly facilities management budget as well as special budgets for future building and remodeling projects.

The Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in fostering a collaborative environment, maintaining open communication with staff across all departments to quickly address and resolve facilities-related issues, and supporting Pathfinders vision, mission, and values in all aspects of their work.

Requirements

Preferred Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience required.
  • Ability to understand new issues quickly and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
  • Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
  • Valid drivers license, insured vehicle, and safe driving record.
  • Ability to speak, hear, and read the English language.
  • Must be able to travel to all properties and facilities to diagnose building issues an plan repairs or maintenance.
  • Must be physically able to perform repairs when needed.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
