Integration Innovation, Inc. (i3) Air Force Training Senior Program Manager in Huntsville, Alabama

Overview

i3 is seeking an experienced, results-oriented Air Force Training Program Manager. The Program Manager is responsible for cost, schedule, and performance of virtual and interactive multimedia training applications for Air Force Specialty Codes as well as provide subject matter expertise on Air Force training requirements and standards. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in project management, managing/leading technical and creative teams, interfacing/briefing corporate executives and DOD customers. Candidate must have knowledge of DOD and Air Force Requirements and Acquisition Processes, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (SPO) funding channels and be highly familiar with the USAF organizational hierarchy.

This position is contingent upon contract funding; expected July/August 2024

Responsibilities

Candidate will lead the development of courseware design and documentation. Daily tasks include communicating with government customers, support contractors and i3 project and functional leads to ensure alignment of project management plans and integrated master schedules. Candidate will monitor and participate in Agile software development processes and procedures. Capture customer requirements and develop work breakdown structures to architect a clear vision of product direction. Utilize excellent communications and analytical skills to work closely with customers, supervisors, instructional systems designers, software designers, software engineers and 3D artists to create interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, serious games, and distributed learning simulations. Candidate must be able to conduct product demonstrations and be able to clearly communicate i3’s robust training development capabilities.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Manage project costs and schedules, generation, and explanation of reports to provide updates to management and Government Customers

  • Provide direction to Project Leads conducting activities associated with administering and managing software development using AGILE\SCRUM methodologies

  • Provide oversight and direction to Project Leads across multiple projects as it pertains to project plans, controls, coordination, and evaluation

  • Ensure proper performance occurs for quality control of processes and products produced by the Technical, Requirements, and Analysis Teams

  • Review, write, interpret, and analyze technical documentation related to the development and implementation of requirements

  • Provide team leadership and guidance through design meetings, storyboard creation and software content validation; collaborate with other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices ensuring a high-quality standard

  • Keep pace with a fast-paced work environment and foster an environment of creativity, expression and growth

  • As a hiring manager you will conduct or oversee interviews to grow program team size to match program work scope to meet cost schedule performance metrics

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 12 years of experience required. Additional years of experience may be substituted for degree.

  • Experience working with USAF Major Commands: ACC, AFSOC, AFGSC, AMC, AETC, AFRC , and ANG

  • Ability to support senior leadership with memorandums, information papers, white papers, briefings, and similar correspondence

  • Preparing and conducting Program Kick Off’s, Management Reviews and Readiness Reviews

  • Managing personnel, with a direct report team size of at least 8 personnel and overall size of 50

    • Experience with DOD contracts, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and the Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
  • Up to 15% travel required

  • U.S. citizenship required

  • Ability to obtain and maintain active DoD Secret Security Clearance

    Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Active, Guard or Reserve duty in the US Air Force

  • Formal experience as a military instructor

  • Experience or knowledge of Agile Methodology

  • Experience leading software development teams

  • Previous experience providing program support or analysis in any A3T office
