deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Computer Systems Analyst in Huntsville, AL.
Position Description:
The Principal Computer Analyst executes system test support and system test monitoring to ensure that defects have not been introduced into the hardware and software during transportation, installation, connectivity, and that the hardware and software function together at the various sites as they did in the development laboratory.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university.
Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 0 years of experience with a PhD, or 9 years of related Computer Analyst or Computer Science experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree for a Principal Computer Analyst and Test Support not to exceed 10 years of related work experience with Bachelors Degree or Higher and not to exceed 18 years of related work experience with no degree
- Security Plus Certification
- Familiar with reading and execution of test case procedures
- Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Recent experience (hands on within the last 3 years) testing software and hardware for performance and functionality based on core functionality and requirements
- Recent experience (hands on within the last 3 years) with software and hardware test monitoring, and test execution
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to support business (Alaska, Colorado, and Hawaii)
- Huntsville, AL is the Primary Work Location (when not on travel)
Special Skills Desired:
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field
- Testing SW for performance and functionality based on requirement specification and ability to identify and document exact sequence of activities desired
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and customer personnel
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure and hardware
- Experience analyzing complex problems and developing solutions based on limited direction and definition
- Experience working in team using Agile Methodologies
- CMMI Level 5 organization experience
- Experience in a Test Lead role
- Experience with Automated Testing
- Experience with Missile Defense Systems
