COLSA's Corporate IT department is seeking candidates for an experienced Systems Engineer. In this position, you will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, security and performance of multiple, critical line-of-business Corporate applications. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The ideal candidate for this position must be a self-starter, flexible and a problem solver with experience in multiple IT disciplines to include Windows, Linux, networking, enterprise computing, and virtualization. You must be capable of working independently and collaboratively.

In this exciting role you can look forward to the following:

• Manage production server workloads running both Windows and Linux OS and their associated applications through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to existing mission-critical production systems.

• Build, configure, upgrade, and maintain back-end compute & storage solutions to include VMware, Nutanix, Cisco UCS as well as cloud-based workloads in AWS and Azure.

• Manage the various applications inside of the Office 365 suite including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.

• Apply security best practices, patches, and baselines to the entire stack of application from underlying components to the applications themselves.

• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end

• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes

• Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement as well as system integration.

• Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in related field

• Demonstrated experience in Windows Server, Linux, VMware and Nutanix.

• Experience maintaining an enterprise datacenter to include fibre channel, iSCSI, storage/SAN configuration, and enterprise computing solutions such as Cisco UCS.

• Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues across all layers of the OSI model.

• This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to undergo a criminal background investigation prior to start.

  Preferred Qualifications

• Security+

• Industry recognized cloud computing certifications (Azure/AWS)

• Experience with Linux systems administration
