Lockheed Martin Electromagnetic Warfare Analyst - National Team Systems in Huntsville, Alabama

Description: WHAT WE'RE DOING

• Advancing the Integrated Discrimination and Electronic Protection capabilities of the Missile Defense System (MDS)

• Leading systems engineering trades, analysis, and studies related to requirements generation

• Developing and delivering MDS capabilities and engineering artifacts into the Technical Baseline (TBL)

• Supporting MDA’s Discrimination Directorate’s efforts to define and coordinate new capabilities

THE WORK

• Conduct analysis on electronic attack models and impacts on missile defense radar systems in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

• Develop, maintain, and execute modeling and simulation (M&S) Matlab electronic attack and electronic protection software

• Analyze and conduct trade studies of electronic protection algorithms and concepts throughout the Missile Defense System

• Coordinate analysis activities and products with functional group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for executing analysis tasks

• Document analysis results in reports and briefings to be presented to the Missile Defense National Team (MDNT) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) representatives

• Lead technical efforts, preparation of engineering products and briefings, including program and system level milestone reviews, CM&D Working Groups (WG), and monthly progress reviews

• Execute integrated project plans and prepare baseline change requests for new or emerging activities

Basic Qualifications:

Strong technical background in an engineering, mathematics, or scientific discipline. Experience with MDA Element and MDA System electronic attack and electronic protection algorithms and/or methods. Experience with radar signal processing. Programming experience in Matlab. Ability and willingness to learn new physical and mathematical concepts. Must possess good communication skills and be capable of working both independently and in a team environment.

Desired Skills:

Analysis experience with Missile Defense Agency radar systems, including AN/TPY-2, SBX, LRDR, SPY-1, SPY-6, UEWRs, or Cobra Dane is highly desired. Experience with radar scheduling, tracking, and discrimination is highly desired. Analysis experience with C2BMC and/or weapon systems including THAAD, Aegis Weapon Systems, and Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) systems is desired. Individual with demonstrated team leadership experience is desired. Experience with version control software and/or object-oriented programming is desired.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
