ABOUT THIS POSITION

KBR is currently seeking a System Analyst to provide analysis of Air and Missile Defense Weapon Systems such as Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS), PATRIOT, and LTAMDS. The candidate will be required to develop missile defense system knowledge and perform detailed data analysis, write incident reports, and review incident report responses. The candidate will be required to become familiar with a wide variety of data reduction output files from the tactical system and from simulations, the specific variables in the files, and how to apply them to determine performance. The candidate will be responsible for reviewing and tracking software changes and system requirements and will develop tools and scripts as necessary to assist in analysis.

The ideal candidate should be a problem-solver, resourceful, independently motivated and detail oriented, willing to travel, and work in the office every day. The position requires good time management capabilities, communication skills and computer skills.

Relocation: Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or able to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or other STEM related fields (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) with 4+ year of experience or a Master’s Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or other STEM related fields (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, etc.) with 2+ years of experience

  • 2+ years experience in Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Weapon Systems, and/or MDA Flight Tests/Ground Tests

  • Able to travel about 20-25% of the time

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen

  • Possess or be able to obtain (and maintain) a Secret security clearance

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Visual Basic (VB), MATLAB, C/C++, C#, or any other high-level programming language is desired.

  • Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on prescribed schedules

  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to build solid relationships with team members, leadership, and customers

  • Ability to brief audiences large or small of varying technical knowledge

  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, responsive, and collaborative environment, and dedicated to the success of our Government customers
