Make a difference for national security by joining a team of dedicated professionals in supporting the Space Development Agency (SDA) in developing and deploying the Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) software development and hosting environment for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). These systems establish software development capabilities to securely and rapidly field mission applications developed by BMC3 ecosystem participants in support of Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) objectives.

SAIC has an immediate need for a BMC3 Systems Administrator Analyst with Linux full stack development experience. We are looking for an innovative and motivated individual at an SAIC facility in Huntsville, AL to help plan and execute testing, training, maintenance, and operate the BMC3 ground simulation hardware. Candidates must have experience with executing, and testing software developmental programs in support of program management to meet customer milestones.

Job Description:

· Oversee the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.

· Provide effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production Linux Servers in a VMWare Virtualized Environment.

· Apply DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems.

· Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows systems.

· Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access.

· Support Linux platforms hosting applications, operations and sustainment systems, and ACAS and other security tools.

· Interface with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts

· Troubleshoot hardware, networking, and software problems in multi-node environment.

· Ability to use automation software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment functionality.

· Create and maintain software documentation and updates.

· Work with a highly technical team to perform evaluation tests.

· Support docker desktop containers and services such as Kubernetes.

Qualifications

Required Education:

· Bachelor’s and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience.

Required Skills:

· Experience working in a Linux environment.

· Experience in a Systems Administrator role.

· Experience with Current versions of Windows (e.g. Server 2019, 2022, Windows 10, 11 Enterprise).

· Experience with Microsoft Server products.

· Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.

· Experience working with Single Board Computers.

Preferred Skills:

· Applicant must have experience with the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating systems and network devices.

Clearance:

· US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. A minimum of an Interim Secret clearance will be required to begin work.

Required Certification:

· CompTIA Security+ certification and Network+ are required prior to first day of employment.
