General Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in related field. Five years of experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:

Plans, organizes, and directs the day-to-day operations of the State and Educational Processes Team, with oversight of the Registrar. Performs highly advanced and complex managerial work and process-based tasks for the Office of the Registrar.

Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):

Responsible for overseeing all regulatory operations related to the Texas Success Initiative ( TSI ), Course Program of Study (CPoS), NCAA certifications, and other regulatory matters pertinent to the Registrar’s Office. Provides continuous support and effective communication for the State and Educational Processes Team while managing staff to ensure outstanding service delivery, optimal resource utilization, and ongoing professional development. Remains vigilant and up to date on all pertinent federal and state regulations for the Office of the Registrar. Establishes and nurtures collaborative relationships with various university leaders and counterparts at other institutions and professional bodies. Ensures strict adherence to TSI policies by maintaining close collaboration with the Scheduling and Curriculum team and other campus stakeholders involved in TSI delivery. Supports the State and Educational Processes Team in monitoring CPoS requirements through regular communication with the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Collaborates closely with the Associate Director of Curriculum and Scheduling to ensure seamless coordination between both teams during each schedule build cycle. Acts as a proactive student success advocate by promoting campus-wide initiatives and ensuring relevant information dissemination through effective collaboration with campus partners. Oversees the execution of the strategic plan by the State and Educational Processes Team and develops internal policies, procedures, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency, subject to approval by the Registrar. Facilitates streamlined communication within the Registrar’s Office by promptly sharing campus updates and pertinent information with other Associate Registrars and the Registrar. Exercises independent decision-making authority in the absence of the Registrar and enforces departmental policies, expectations, and procedures. Implements productivity and efficiency evaluation techniques and provides supervision with minimal direction. Performs other related duties as assigned.
