About our Senior Director: Finance Systems role:

As the Senior Director of Finance Systems at Sage in Newcastle upon Tyne, you will lead our Enterprise Finance Systems team and the Finance Data Centre of Excellence (CoE). Using tools like Adaptive, Hyperion (HFM), CXO, Tableau CRM, Snowflake, Alteryx, and PowerBI, you will turn financial data into actionable insights, enhancing reporting accuracy, driving data innovation, and supporting decision-making across Sage.

Key Responsibilities:

Summary of your day-to-day?

You will provide operational leadership for the Finance Systems & Data CoE team, set annual resource and budget plans, and collaborate with EVP and VP level Finance stakeholders to prioritize reporting and intelligence requirements. You will own the Finance function’s input into the Sage Data Governance group and manage related policies and controls. By translating business intelligence requirements into actionable plans, you will develop new capabilities for Finance and improve existing systems. Ensuring the functionality of finance systems for critical reporting and planning processes is key. You will also coach and develop your team, including managers and their teams in Planning/Reporting, Analytics, and Finance CoE.

Minimum experience:

You must have proven leadership skills to inspire and manage a team of 13 FTE, excellent influence and communication skills for managing EVP and S/VP level stakeholders, and extensive experience in data governance, systems development, and customer support practices. Knowledge of Sage and/or SaaS/digital business models, proficiency in HFM, Adaptive Insights, CXO, Power BI, and ETL automation tools, and experience in Agile management techniques are essential.
