About the Role :

Job Purpose/Background

ServiceNow is currently looking for a Reporting Analyst with Accounting capabilities to support our Global Travel and Expense operations based out of the Hyderabad office. The role will be a hybrid position that combines data analytics with traditional accounting responsibilities to drive strategic financial decision-making.

This role will report to the T&E Director with a focus on process excellence related to Global Travel & Expense operations, including but not limited to Accounting and Reconciliations, Reclasses, Tax, Statutory and SOX compliance, collaboration with Internal and External Auditors, managing audit requirements, and providing Reporting and Insights. The position will work closely with teams managing upstream and downstream processes to deliver best-in-class results and desired outcomes.

Additionally, this dual role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can seamlessly integrate analytical techniques with accounting practices. The candidate will utilize data visualization tools to create intuitive dashboards and reports, making financial information accessible and understandable for various stakeholders.

Financial Data Analysis :

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities.

• Utilize statistical methods and analytical tools to interpret complex data sets.

• Use data visualization tools like Power BI to create intuitive and insightful dashboards and reports. Present complex financial information in a visually appealing and easily understandable format.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Tax, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting & FP&A) to identify opportunities related to compliance or controls and strengthen the same.

• Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic initiatives.

• Deliver actionable financial insights to various stakeholders.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations with Citibank and Concur.

• Prepare and post accruals monthly, ensuring proper allocation to appropriate accounts and cost centers.

• Execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported and compliant with accounting standards and regulations.

Internal Audits and Compliance:

• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to regulations and internal policies.

• Work with auditors to identify issues or discrepancies during audits. Develop and implement action plans, ensuring that remediation efforts are effective and sustainable.

• Collaborate with corporate accounting and other stakeholders to ensure ownership of accounting and reconciliation activities.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

• Support strategic initiatives by delivering actionable financial insights.

• Partner with various teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and alignment with overall business objectives.

To be successful in this role you have:

Competencies/Skillset :-

• A professional qualification such as CA/CPA/CMA with good knowledge of US GAAP requirements is preferred.

• Proven experience in General Accounting, Controllership, or similar role.

• Having a comprehensive understanding of the end to end T&E process is highly preferred for this role.

• Ability to multitask, work under pressure and meet the deadlines in a fast-paced environment without losing accuracy

• Strong Accounting, Analytical skills and a critical thinker; must have the ability to use excellent judgment and resolve issues with dexterity and effective decision making.

• Strong communication, relationship building, influencing, persuasion, presentation, and conflict resolution and business analysis skills

• Consistently demonstrates high integrity combined with good business judgement and strives to identify, recommend and select the best overall solution for service now

• Absolute integrity of internal controls over all finance/accounting activities that can affect the completeness and accuracy of its financial reporting

• Time sensitive on all deliverables and available to handle seasonal variation in terms of varied functional requirement

• Should have attention to detail with the ability to present/articulate analytical results and facilitate decision-making

Basic qualifications & preferred skills:-

• Qualified Accountant (CA., CPA or equivalent)

• Overall 12+ experience, with a minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing responsibilities as mentioned above.

• Working knowledge of SAP required.

• Experience with data analytics platform such as PowerBI or similar.

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) required
