Kyndryl is looking for an information security professional with expert level skill within the Managed Firewall scope of services and technology. The candidate must have a thorough understanding of the key technologies used to provide the service to include Gartner “Leaders” in this scope. The position will require implementing and supporting firewall policies, troubleshooting flows and connectivity, supporting firewall configurations and services and maintaining firewall lifecycle management activities.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Ticket Management

  • Ensure operational tickets are reviewed and resolved within given SLAs .

  • Review change requests to ensure that they are technically sound for Tier 3 approval.

  • Strictly follow Change Management Processes & Move to Production process which includes checking that tools and documentation are up to date

  • Deploy bare metal and virtual-based firewalls

  • Create and Maintain automation for builds and changes utilizing Terraform &/or Ansible.

  • Implement and support complex firewall policies:

  • Enable and manage firewall services, such as VPNs and Network IPS

  • Engage in and collaborate with vendor on issues and incidents.

  • Perform troubleshooting: flows, performance, availability

  • Firewall Compliance: - Work with an experienced team of network engineers in performing vulnerability and fault analysis on enterprise perimeter devices, and developing and implementing system remediation and recovery plans

  • Ensure OS & patching is up to date,

  • File Risks where needed

  • Ensure Documentation is up to date for Audits

  • Participate as necessary with Audit activities

  • Being proactive to anticipate issues or situations which impact service quality

Who You Are

Education:

Bachelor's in computer science

Required:

  • Atleat 10+ years of experience in IT

  • 5+ years’ experience managing firewalls and firewall configurations.

  • Experience with Palo Alto required.

  • SASE/Prisma experience required.

  • Familiarity with Cisco beneficial

  • Extensive experience supporting and operating IDS and IPS services

  • Experience integrating firewalls with SIEM services, such as Splunk

  • 3+ years as a Network Security Engineer desired

  • Passion to work as a member of a team focused on constant improvement and excellence

  • Demonstrate an ability and desire to be creative and voice out-of-the-box solutions

Preferred :

  • CISSP and at least one network firewall certification preferred
