Job description
Gem State Staffing in Idaho Falls is currently recruiting and accepting applications for a seasonal CDL Class A driver to deliver feed and vaccines.
Qualifications:
- Comply with company safety policies and regulations.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Must be able to pass DOT drug test.
- Current Medical Card & Class A CDL license.
- Have a clean DMV record (we are able to pull record upon request).
- Must be capable of strapping loads.
- Must be able to help lift, stack and wrap the product .
- Must have good sense of direction.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds unassisted.
- Possess or have ability to obtain a valid DOT Med Card.
- Competency to comply with all DOT regulations and requirements
- Flexibility to work overtime and potentially holidays.
- Work flexible hours and shifts, being reliable and punctual.
- Must be able to meet Companys insurance carriers requirements to be insurable.
- CDL experience required
- Hazmat preferred but not necessary
Pay Rate:Starts at \$20 DOE.

Summary
As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various locations while adhering to all regulations and safety standards. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, your core skills in truck driving and commercial driving will be essential for navigating routes efficiently. Your premium skills in operating manual transmissions and handling refrigerated trailers will enhance your performance. Additionally, your relevant experience in delivery driving and freight management will contribute to the timely and secure delivery of shipments. Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL A truck safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods using various types of trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker, while securing loads properly.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
- Load and unload freight, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with dispatch regarding routes and schedules.
- Adhere to Hazmat regulations when transporting hazardous materials.
