Description

We are in search of an Executive Director based in Independence, Ohio. The chosen candidate will primarily focus on the strategic planning and execution of marketing programs, management of association operations, and fostering strong relationships with various stakeholders. Responsibilities:

  • Serves as chief administrative officer, recommends, and participates in formulation of new policies and makes decisions within the bounds of existing policies.

  • Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the staff, programs, and activities to ensure the association's goals and objectives are met.

  • Informs Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Officers on conditions and operations of the association.

  • Attends all meetings of Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

  • Be a member of Board of Directors and Executive Committee ex-officio, without the right to vote.

  • Maintains the assets of the association and investments In accordance with established policies.

  • Plans, formulates, and recommends to Board of Directors programs which will further the strategic and financial goals of the organization.

  • Provides minutes, agendas and reports for Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings.

  • Executes all decisions of Board of Directors except in cases when assignments are made specifically by the Board.

  • Manages operations of association and develops specific administrative policies and procedures for the association.

  • Is charged with the administration of all member chapter events.

  • Recruits, hires, trains, and motivates association staff. Establishes performance standards and goals and evaluates staff.

  • Directs and coordinates all approved programs, projects, and major activities of staff.

  • Serve as staff liaison to all committees and/or provides liaison between the committees and the Board of Directors. Provides staff support to Committees to enable them to perform assigned functions.

  • Executes such contracts and commitments as authorized by Board of Directors or established policies.

  • Develops and recommends an annual budget in cooperation with the Treasurer and Finance Committee and operates within the confines of established guidelines.

  • Ensures that all funds, physical assets, and other property owned by the association are appropriately safeguarded.

  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts a public relations program to enhance public acceptance of the industry.

  • Serves as Executive Editor of official publications.

  • Promotes interest and active participation to members in association’s activities.

  • Develops education programs to advance professional skills of the members, operating within budget and program objectives.

  • Plans, organizes, and directs membership promotion and retention programs.

  • Provides staff support in planning and conducting all association events.

  • Plans and executes all communications to the membership.

  • Safeguards confidential Information as It applies to the daily functions of the association and members.

  • Maintains effective relationships with public and private organizations to ensure the interests of the association are realized.

    Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing leadership role

• Proven expertise in CRM and Database Management

• Knowledge and experience with EO/IR systems

• Proficiency in using Facebook Insights and Google Analytics for data-driven decision making

• Demonstrated ability in planning and executing successful advertising campaigns

• Proven track record in enhancing brand awareness and growth

• Experience in campaign planning, design and digital marketing

• Demonstrated proficiency in program management and program management office operations

• Experience in building and managing alliance relationships and strong team dynamics

• Proven ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally

• Experience in community affairs, community engagement, empowerment, and event organization

• Proven track record in community marketing and public relations

• Experience in media relations and media releases

• Demonstrated ability in editorial management and creating compelling editorial content

• Proficient in event management and organization
