Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the non-profit sector, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role involves providing support in communications and administrative duties, working closely with the Director of Communications and the Communications Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the creation of weekly worship bulletins, including preparing draft copies, updating service info, and finalizing PDF for internal printing and uploading to the webpage

• Handling the layout and printing of weekly sermons, updating them on the website

• Maintaining the worship schedule as provided by the senior pastor

• Designing and updating posters for events and sermon series

• Creating slides for Broadcast Ministry in coordination with the bulletin, seeking approval from team members

• Performing other administrative duties as assigned, including assisting with graphic design projects

• Providing coverage at the front desk on a rotational basis

• Managing flower arrangements for the sanctuary, special requests, and preparing lists for bulletin inserts for festive occasions.

Skills required include proficiency in answering inbound calls, customer service, data entry, email correspondence, inbound outbound calls, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, scheduling appointments, and Adobe InDesign. Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is a MUST

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word

• Experience in answering inbound calls and managing inbound and outbound calls

• Excellent customer service skills

• Capable of performing data entry tasks accurately and efficiently

• Experience in scheduling appointments and managing calendars

• Ability to handle email correspondence professionally and promptly

• Prior experience in a non-profit environment would be beneficial

• Familiarity with administrative assistant tasks and responsibilities

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
