Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are a high-speed converting facility for corrugated boxes with 11 primary machines running at all times. This is a Just In Time facility, which means it operates under high pressure. The Electrical Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is operational, with a focus on troubleshooting issues from screen to fault. Downtime is unacceptable, so 80% of the work will be reactive and 20% preventative.

Responsibilities

  • Keep all high-speed converting equipment operational.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues from screen to fault.

  • Perform reactive maintenance tasks 80% of the time and preventative maintenance 20% of the time.

  • Work with equipment such as Specialty Folder, Compression Tables, and Die Cutter.

  • Handle pneumatics, pumps, motors, ink systems, gear systems, drives, calibrations, rollers, conveyors, strappers, and changing belts.

Essential Skills

  • PLC Troubleshooting through Ladder Logic

  • Electrical Troubleshooting up to 480 volts

  • Experience with Motors and Drives

  • Understanding of Gear Systems and Pulleys

  • Expertise with Allen Bradley PLCs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Siemens, Wiege, and Mitsubishi Controls

  • Mechanical skills, including pump control and schematic understanding

  • Experience with corrugated systems and preventive maintenance

  • Calibration and circuit diagnosis experience

  • Repair skills

Pay

$38-50/HR (BASED ON EXPERIENCE)

Work Environment

Candidates must be flexible, as shifts will be 10 hours daily. The current position is on the day shift from Monday to Friday, 6 am-4 pm. There may be a need to help train the 2nd shift for a couple of weeks. The facility operates 24 hours per day, 6 days per week, with an expectation of 50 hours per week. Currently, there is no weekend overtime.
