Candidates must be willing to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift, weekends and overtime as required

The Job You Will Perform:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the plant facility’s equipment.

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.

  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on all machines, equipment and plant facilities.

  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.

  • Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work area.

The Skills You Will Bring:

  • Desire an individual with knowledge of food industry standards for production, safety, waste, and AIB/SQF housekeeping.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude skills.

  • Solid basic math skills. Ability to follow written instructions.

  • Interface with computer and have the ability to enter data into various software platforms. Previous CMMS experience desired.

  • Demonstrated work performance to be self-directed and self-motivated.

  • Proven track record on safety and quality. Professional attitude and good communication skills.

Education/Experience/Licenses & Certifications:

Minimum qualifications for consideration are a high school degree (or equivalent experience) and two years of industrial maintenance experience preferred. Highly-qualified candidate would possess a technical degree or apprenticeship certification and maintenance experience in the corrugated industry or food manufacturing environment.
