We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of exposure with a full cycle AP desk and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role requires the ability to handle a high volume of invoices, prioritize payments, and ensure accurate GL coding. The candidate will also be responsible for processing monthly expense reports, reconciling vendor statements, and monitoring electronic inboxes for invoices.
Responsibilities
Review invoices for appropriate GL coding and proof of product/service delivery at various office locations, sales tax charged, credit memos, and weekly check runs.
Match purchase orders (PO) with invoices.
Prioritize payment of invoices based on vendor terms.
Monitor electronic inbox for invoices.
Process monthly expense reports.
Determine GL codes from the Chart of Accounts.
Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
Handle high volume invoices up to 1500 monthly.
Assist with AP accruals, AP checks to vendors, credit card processing, and data entry.
Complete electronic fund transfers (EFT).
Possibly assist with the month-end close process.
Essential Skills
Three years of experience with full cycle AP desk.
Experience with PO matching.
Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.
Experience handling high volume invoices (up to 1500 monthly).
Experience with ERP systems such as Dynamics (open to others).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with automation and process improvement.
Strong vendor relationship management skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

The work environment is a nice, clean manufacturing company that produces commercial doors of all sorts.
