On The Border Accounts Payable Associate in Irving, Texas

Position Overview:

Reporting to VP Controller, the Accounts Payable Associate will manage the company's accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

· Review, verify, and process invoices for goods and services received.

· Ensure all invoices are properly coded, entered into the accounting system, and processed through the correct workflow approver.

· Reconcile accounts payable statements and ensure timely payment of invoices.

· Monitor vendor terms and discuss with the manager timely payments.

· Maintain and update vendor files, including contact information and payment terms.

· Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries.

· Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors.

· Assist with month-end closing, including preparation of accounts payable reports and verifying all EDI processed for all vendors.

· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

· Identify and communicate process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Education:

· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAGE) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) preferred.

Experience:

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work independently with other service groups to complete job tasks.

· Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to process environment changes.
