U.S. Marine Corps SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE (CHEMICALS) in Iwakuni, Japan

Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurance (Chemicals) in the Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni (MCASI) of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION IWAKUNI. ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below. Responsibilities You will manage and operate Regional Class B Fuel Laboratory. You will plan, direct, organize, administer and coordinate the provision of analytical chemistry services. You will serve as the technical authority for all data released from the lab and is responsible for its precision and accuracy. You will be responsible for quality control and surveillance of ground, bulk, or aircraft fuels, and packaged petroleum products. You will ensure samples are taken and analyzed on fueling vehicles/equipment, hydrant pumping systems, receiving systems and fill stands. You will review and interpret reports on new test methods. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate most or all of the following: Administering Fuels Quality Assurance Program including the inspection and quality control of petroleum products and fuels in receipt, storage, handling, issue, reporting, operational planning support, environmental program management, services contracting to ensure operational readiness and the storage and safekeeping of petroleum products.
