As an Accounting Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day operations of our accounting department. There is a payables and vendor relations component to this role. The ideal candidate will possess organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for numbers. salary: $19 - $20 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Research and code a high volume of vendor invoices

• Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system report compensation schedules to balances due

• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying and resolving invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation

• Insuring credit is received for outstanding memos and balances due by vendors

• Correcting job cost errors by creating memos to correct any errors identified during month end review

• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling weekly/monthly statements and related transactions

• Research and address open activity contained on vendor aging statements

• Respond to customer questions and needs in a timely manner

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

• Attend and participate in all team meetings

• Other projects and duties as necessary
