Our client offers drivers the most diverse lineup in the Luxury Segment. They are currently hiring an Accounting Clerk to join their team in Jacksonville. As a key member of our transportation management department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our freight payment processes. This role involves learning and utilizing our Transportation Management System (TMS) to audit carrier invoices, resolve billing discrepancies, and collaborate with local transportation providers' Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) teams. If you have at least 4 years of experience working as an Accounting Clerk with Logistics experience and have knowledge of the Oracle Transportation Management system then this is the role for you!
salary: $30 - $32 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities
As an Accounting Clerk, job duties include:
Review carrier invoices for accuracy and completeness, identify rate discrepancies, and ensure all invoices comply with established guidelines.
Identify and raise billing discrepancies or concerns to the Supervisor for resolution, ensuring timely follow-up and corrective actions.
Work closely with local transportation providers' AR/AP teams to resolve billing issues and streamline payment processes.
Create IT support tickets when necessary to address system issues affecting freight payment operations.
Contribute to the development of new process documentation and participate in troubleshooting to improve the efficiency of freight payment procedures.
Skills:
4+ years of experience as an Accounting Clerk working within a Logistics Company, preferably with exposure to freight payment processes and EDI transactions.
Proven understanding of the Oracle Transportation Management system to effectively manage freight payment processes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and vendors.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills to audit invoices and identify discrepancies.
